Democratic opposition has a chance to win 249 seats in the Sejm - according to the final late poll released by Ipsos. Law and Justice (PiS) can win 196 seats in the lower house, while Civic Coalition - 158. Three other groupings would also pass the minimum threshold: Third Way, New Left, and Confederation. The National Electoral Commission (PKW) on Monday (Oct. 16) afternoon announced partial results of the parliamentary vote held the on Sunday.
Parliamentary election 2023. Ipsos final late poll:
Law and Justice - 36.1 percent (196 seats), Civic Coalition – 31 percent (158 seats), Third Way – 14 percent (61 seats), New Left – 8.6 percent (30 seats), Confederation – 6.8 percent (15 seats), Nonpartisan Local Government Activists – 2 percent (0 seats), There Is One Poland – 1.3 percent(0 seats), Other – 0.2 percent (0 seats).
The voter turnout, according to the final late poll, stood at 73.9 percent.
Ipsos noted that late poll is a result of exit poll which includes 90 percent of official results from the surveyed local electoral commissions.
PKW partial results
At a press conference on Monday afternoon, the PKW announced partial results of the parliamentary vote held on Sunday.
The partial results released at 13:30 from 53.73% of local electoral commissions.
Law and Justice - 38.13 percent (3,751,884 votes), Civic Coalition – 28 percent (2,755,021 votes), Third Way – 14.40 percent (1,416,820 votes), New Left – 8.22 percent (808,343 votes), Confederation – 7.33 percent (720,792 votes).
The turnout at that point stood at 72.85%.
