Polish Foreign Minister Radosław Sikorski stated on Wednesday, after meeting with British Foreign Secretary David Lammy, that Poland and the United Kingdom share similar views on many issues concerning international security.
On Wednesday, Minister Sikorski traveled to London to hold talks with his British counterpart.
"My penultimate visit this year - London. With my British counterpart David Lammy, we discussed the Polish language and the Polish community, cooperation during Poland's upcoming EU Presidency, and - most importantly - security," Sikorski wrote on X.
In a video posted on the platform, he added that their conversation touched on Russia's aggression against Ukraine, the situation in Syria, and the UK's policies toward the European Union.
"Poland and the UK share assessments on many aspects of international security, which creates the most fruitful opportunities for cooperation," Sikorski emphasized.
The UK and Poland are NATO allies and close partners working together to strengthen security co-operation and support for Ukraine.
The meeting of Poland's Minister of Foreign Affairs Radek Sikorski and British Foreign Secretary David Lammy is another testament to our strong partnership.
British Foreign Secretary David Lammy also commented on their meeting in a post on X. He stated that the United Kingdom greatly values its partnership with Poland.
"As NATO allies working together to bolster European security and defence, we continue to stand united in our support for Ukraine - this winter and beyond," he added.
"Good to see you again my friend Radek Sikorski."
