In December, according to the CBOS ranking, President Andrzej Duda, Speaker of the Sejm Szymon Hołownia, and Civic Platform Vice-Chairman and Warsaw Mayor Rafał Trzaskowski enjoy the highest public trust. The most distrust is inspired by PiS leader Jarosław Kaczyński.
In the latest ranking of trust in politicians conducted by CBOS, President Andrzej Duda once again enjoys the most trust, with 50% of respondents expressing trust in him. Distrust toward the head of state is declared by 37% of those surveyed.
The second place in the ranking was taken by the Speaker of the Sejm, leader of Poland 2050, Szymon Hołownia, trusted by 48% of respondents. Distrust toward the Speaker of the Sejm is expressed by 34% of those surveyed.
The podium is closed by Civic Platform Vice-Chairman and Warsaw Mayor Rafał Trzaskowski, trusted by 46% of respondents; Trzaskowski, Civic Coalition's candidate in the presidential elections, is distrusted by 38%.
The greatest distrust is expressed by respondents toward the leaders of the two largest political parties in Poland: PiS leader Jarosław Kaczyński (52%) and PO leader and Prime Minister Donald Tusk (49%). Kaczyński is trusted by 32% of respondents, and Tusk by 39%.
The leader of the Polish People's Party, Defense Minister, and Deputy Prime Minister Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz is trusted by 44% of those surveyed, while 27% express distrust toward him. The next spot in the ranking goes to Foreign Minister Radosław Sikorski, trusted by 39% of respondents, with 34% expressing distrust.
Krzysztof Bosak, a politician of the Confederation and Deputy Speaker of the Sejm, is trusted by 37% of respondents, while 29% express distrust toward him.
Justice Minister and Attorney General Adam Bodnar is trusted by 34% of respondents, compared to 27% expressing distrust.
PiS Parliamentary Club Leader Mariusz Błaszczak is trusted by 33% of those surveyed and distrusted by 38%.
In the December ranking, three politicians from the ruling coalition enjoy trust from over one-quarter of respondents: Senate Speaker Małgorzata Kidawa-Błońska (27% trust, 33% distrust), Minister of the Interior and Administration and coordinator of special services Tomasz Siemoniak (27% trust, 21% distrust), and New Left Co-Chairman and Deputy Speaker of the Sejm Włodzimierz Czarzasty, trusted by 26% of respondents and distrusted by 29%.
The coordinator of activities related to the reconstruction of flood-affected areas, Marcin Kierwiński, is trusted by 24% and equally distrusted by 24%. Health Minister Izabela Leszczyna is trusted by 23% of respondents, with 20% distrusting her.
Karol Nawrocki, the PiS-endorsed candidate in the upcoming presidential elections, is trusted by 23% of respondents, while 22% express distrust.
The Minister of Family, Labor, and Social Policy Agnieszka Dziemianowicz-Bąk is trusted by 22% of those surveyed and distrusted by 14%.
Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Digital Affairs Krzysztof Gawkowski is trusted by 20%, with 14% distrusting him.
Deputy Speaker of the Sejm Piotr Zgorzelski (PSL) is trusted by 18% of respondents, while 11% express distrust toward him.
Finance Minister Andrzej Domański is trusted by 15% of respondents, with 12% expressing distrust.
The survey was conducted from November 28 to December 8, 2024, on a sample of 915 individuals (55.5% using CAPI, 26.9% using CATI, and 16.5% using CAWI methods).
