Poland's Medical Council recommends COVID-19 vaccine booster shots to all adult persons, but no sooner than 6 months after the basic vaccination. Poland
"The Medical Council recommends all persons aged 18+ receive booster shots of COVID-19 vaccine, no sooner than 6 months after taking basic doses," the Medical Council wrote in a statement published on a government webiste.
Furthermore, the council recommends extending validity of COVID vaccination certificates of people by one year after taking a booster shot.
In September, the council recommened booster shots only for people over 50 and medics having direct contact with patients.
The Medical Council is an auxiliary body assisting Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki.
Poland's Health Ministry reported 3,931 COVID-19 cases on Tuesday, an increase of almost 85% compared to the previous week, and 64 COVID-related deaths.
One year ago on October 19, the ministry informed about 7,482 new infections and death of 41 persons.
