Law and Justice members of the verification committee announced on Tuesday they want the commission to notify the prosecutor’s office to examine irregularities regarding the tenement on Poznańska 14 in Warsaw. They claim that there were illegal attempts to sell the apartments belonging to the building.
Pursuant to the decision by the verification committee, the city hall should take over administration of properties located at Marszałkowska 43, Poznańska 14, Nowogrodzka 6a, Schroegera 72 and Hoża 25 and 25a. Although the city hall didn’t take over any of the above, it does collect discounted rent from 21 of 29 tenants of three buildings: Marszałkowska 43, Poznańska 14, Nowogrodzka 6a.
Member of the verification committee from Law and Justice, Łukasz Kondratko said in a press conference in front of the Poznańska 14 tenement that the previous owner, the Jowisz company is sending out rent invoices. He mentioned a 2.000-zloty-worth invoice. At the same time, in the staircase hangs a paper from the city’s Property Administration Institute with account number which the tenants should use to pay rent.
Law and Justice’s MP Jan Mosiński said also that the Jowisz company is trying to sell apartments from Poznańska 14 property. "In my opinion, this is against the binding law and at tomorrow’s session we will motion for the committee to notify the prosecutor’s office. It should be examined whether or not the Jowisz company have broken the regulations, and not only those of the Act on the Verification Committee. To this we may also add disrupting domestic peace, because I think that’s what we’re dealing with here."
