Tadeusz Ross - an actor, scriptwriter, comedian, former MP and MEP, and recently Warsaw city councillor - has died at the age of 83.
Information about the death of Tadeusz Ross was passed by the chief of Civic Coalition Warsaw City Council club Jarosław Szostakowski.
Tadeusz Ross was an actor, comedian, and scriptwriter. He graduated from the Aleksander Zelwerowicz National Academy of Dramatic Art in Warsaw.
He was mainly known as the author of satirical television programmes like "Zulu-Gula" and "Rossmówki", which co-created with Piotr Fronczewski. He also a few episodes of "Miodowe lata" series.
In the 2000s, Ross got involved in politics and joined the Civic Platform party. In 2006, he became Warsaw city councillor, and a Civic Platform MP the following year.
In 2009, he unsuccessfully tried to become an MEP, but four years later he made it to the European Parliament, where he filled in for Rafał Trzaskowski, who became minister of admistration and digital affairs in Donald Tusk's cabinet.
From 2018 until his death he was sitting in Warsaw City Council.
