Final matriculation exams results show 87.5 percent of students have passed

According to final statistics, 87.5 percent of students have passed their matriculation exams this year. The numbers have been published by the Central Examination Board (CKE). The data includes the results from the usual May session, additional June session, and make-up exams sesssion from August.

According to final overall results, 97 percent of this year's students have passed the Polish language exam, 89 percent - maths exam, and the most commonly chosen foreign language exam, namely English, has been passed by 95 percent.

According to initial data by the CKE, published in early July (showing results from May session only), 80.5 percent of students received high-school diplomas; 12.9 percent of graduates, who failed to pass one of the exams, had the right to retake it in August. Students who failed to pass more than one of the exams, will be allowed to retake the tests next year.

Last year, 86 percent of students have passed their matriculation exams.
