Poland's gross domestic product in the 4th quarter of 2021 increased by 7.3% year on year, whereas compared to 3rd quarter of last year the GDP grew by 5.3% - according to a flash estimate released on Tuesday by Statistics Poland.
"According to the flash estimate, gross domestic product (GDP) in volume terms seasonally unadjusted was higher by 7.3% in the 4th quarter of 2021 year-to-year against 2.5% decrease in the corresponding period of 2020," Statistics Poland said at its website.
"In the 4th quarter of 2021 seasonally adjusted GDP (constant prices, reference year 2015) was higher by 1.7% than in the previous quarter and 7.7% higher than in the 4th quarter of the previous year," the agency informed.
Furthermore, seasonally unadjusted GDP (constant average prices of the previous year) was higher by 7.3% than in the corresponding quarter of the previous year.
Economists surveyed by PAP Biznes were expecting the GDP in Q4 of 2021 to increase by 7.1% in a year on year comparison.
Statistics Poland is to publish full data on Q4 of 2021 on February 28.
