On Sunday, Poland's Anita Włodarczyk won the gold medal in the hammer throw, the fourth gold of her career in the European championships, with a throw of 78.94 metres. Her colleague Joanna Fiodorow took the bronze with a 74.00 metre result. Earlier on the day, Sofia Ennaoui won the silver medal in the women’s 1,500 metres on Sunday, finishing in 4:03.08.
