The Health Ministry informed on Friday about 528 newly confirmed cases of coronavirus infection and 8 COVID-related deaths.

The highest number of the 528 infections was reported in the Mazowieckie province - 91 cases.

The ministry also said 8 people died due to COVID infection, of which 5 had co-occurring diseases.

Since the start of the pandemic, Poland has recorded 2,892,642 infection cases and 75,417 COVID-related deaths.

As of Friday, a total of 36,643,392 doses of various COVID-19 vaccines have been administered in Poland.

19,036,382 people have been fully vaccinated with either single-shot Johnson & Johnson vaccine, or two doses of AstraZeneca or Moderna or Pfizer/BioNTech vaccine.
