Hundreds of Poles gathered at the courtyard of University of Warsaw on Friday (May 3), supporting a call of European Council President Donald Tusk to respect the constitution and unite beyond differences.
The former Polish prime minister spoke on the occasion of Poland's Constitution Day and in his speech accused political leaders of celebrating the constitution once a year and disrespecting it on every other day.
After the official speech at the university, Tusk went outside to address crowds who gathered to watch his lecture on outdoor screen cheering and chanting politician's name as he spoke.
There is widespread speculation about Tusk's future once he leaves his European post. Poland is due to hold a parliamentary election in the autumn and a presidential election in mid-2020.
Tusk did not announce a return to Polish politics on Friday.
