Post-election polls and forecasts from American media indicate that Donald Trump has won the race for the White House. Congratulations are pouring in from world leaders, including Polish President Andrzej Duda and Prime Minister Donald Tusk.

"Congratulations, Mr. President Donald Trump! You made it happen!" - wrote Polish President Andrzej Duda on platform X.
Later, Duda also thanked Poles and Americans of Polish descent who cast their votes in the U.S. presidential election. "You have taken responsibility for the future of America into your hands. Let it be Great, with the benefit for You and also for the security and prosperity of Poland," the president said on X.
"Congratulations to Donald Trump on winning the election," Tusk wrote on social media platform X. "I look forward to our cooperation for the good of the American and Polish nations."
One of the first European leaders to congratulate Trump was French President Emmanuel Macron. "Congratulations, President Donald Trump. Ready to work together as we did for four years," he declared. "With your convictions and mine. With respect and ambition. For peace and prosperity," he added.
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky also offered his congratulations. "I appreciate President Trump’s commitment to the 'peace through strength' approach in global affairs. This is exactly the principle that can practically bring just peace in Ukraine closer. I am hopeful that we will put it into action together," he wrote in a lengthy post on the platform X.
He added: "We look forward to an era of a strong United States of America under President Trump’s decisive leadership," and expressed his hope for a meeting soon to personally congratulate Trump and discuss ways to strengthen the strategic partnership between Ukraine and the United States.
British Prime Minister Keir Starmer also congratulated Trump on his "historic victory." "I look forward to working with you in the years ahead. As the closest allies, we stand shoulder to shoulder in defence of our shared values of freedom, democracy, and entreprise," the head of the British government wrote in a statement.
Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orbán also congratulated Trump on his "enormous win." "The biggest comeback in US political history!" he remarked. "A much-needed victory for the World!" Orban added.
Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni extended her "sincere congratulations" to Trump. She also emphasized the "unwavering alliance" between Rome and Washington, the "shared values" of both countries, and their "historical friendship." "This is a strategic bond that we will surely strengthen even further," she stated.
Deputy Prime Minister and leader of the right-wing League party, Matteo Salvini, wrote on social media: "Patriotism, border control, tax cuts, Christian roots, freedom of speech, commitment to world peace. Common sense, passion, and hope WIN in the US!".
"What a historic day! CONGRATULATIONS, President Donald Trump," he added.
"Congratulations on history’s greatest comeback! Your historic return to the White House offers a new beginning for America and a powerful recommitment to the great alliance between Israel and America," commented Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu on the U.S. election results.
"Yesssss, God bless Trump," wrote Israeli Minister of Internal Security Itamar Ben-Gvir on the platform X.
Congratulations from EU and NATO
Words of praise for Trump also came from Brussels. "I warmly congratulate Donald J. Trump," wrote European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen.
"The EU and the US are more than allies. We are bound by a true partnership between our people, uniting 800 million citizens. So let's work together on a strong transatlantic agenda that keeps delivering for them."
"The European Union and the United States have an enduring alliance and a historic bond. As allies and friends, the EU looks forward to continuing our constructive cooperation," said European Council President Charles Michel. He added that the EU "will pursue its course in line with the strategic agenda as a strong, united, competitive and sovereign partner while defending the rules-based multilateral system."
"I just congratulated Donald Trump on his election as President of the United States. His leadership will again be key to keeping our Alliance strong. I look forward to working with him again to advance peace through strength through NATO," wrote NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte in a tweet.
Congratulations for Donald Trump are also pouring in from other parts of the world.
"Heartfelt congratulations to Donald Trump," said Shigeru Ishiba, the Prime Minister of Japan.
"I truly look forward to working closely with you to further bolster the Japan-US Alliance & cooperate to promote a free and open Indo-Pacific," he added.
"Congratulations on your formidable electoral victory," wrote Javier Milei, the President of Argentina. The leader emphasized that Donald Trump "can count on Argentina to carry out his task."
