Deputy minister of social policy dismissed after botched amendments to 'violence bill'

The Deputy Minister of Family, Labour and Social Policy has been dismissed. This is the result of the recent publication of draft amendments to the laws on domestic violence which were very controversial. It allowed, among others, for one-time incidents of domestic violence not to be considered as such.
