A 26-year-old man suspected of killing a young woman in Gorzów Wielkopolski has been shot dead by the German police near Berlin, according to the spokesperson of the Lubusz police, Marcin Maludy, who quoted unofficial information by the German police.

Former chairwoman of the Wisła Kraków football club Marzena S. was detained on Tuesday by the Central Bureau of Police Investigations. The arrests were confirmed by the spokeswoman for the Regional Prosecutor's Office in Poznań. Armed Polish border guards boarded a Greenpeace ship blocking a delivery of coal in the port of Gdansk late on Monday and detained two activists, officials said on Tuesday.
