Civic Platform MP Dariusz Joński informed on Monday he has notified the prosecutor's office about threats he received online. The author of the email also threatened to kill a Warsaw Uprising veteran Wanda Traczyk-Stawska.
Joński informed about notifying the prosecutor's office on Monday. He also submitted the content of the message he had received, in which he likened to a Nazi war criminal. The author of the email also threatened he would "stick a combat knife in his stomach", making it clear he was inspired by the killer of Gdańsk Mayor Paweł Adamowicz.
The message was sent from an email account of a "patriot from Pabianice", who also wrote, using very offensive language, he would kill Warsaw Uprising veteran Wanda Traczyk-Stawska.
"You have been sentenced to death for betraying homeland. The verdict has been passed on behalf of Underground Poland," the author wrote in the email sent to Civic Platform MP.
Dariusz Joński has notified the prosecutor's office about potential criminal threats against himself and Wanda Traczyk-Stawska.
"The content of the threats and the way they were delivered have raised my justified concerns the said threats might actually be fulfilled," Joński said.
"One must never ignore such things, especially when the author sends a death threat to Warsaw Uprising veteran," the MP added.
Other politicians from Civic Platform also received similar emails, including Radosław Sikorski, of which he informed on Twitter.
