A miner dies in underground tremor in Rydułtowy coal mine in southern Poland

One miner was killed and eight injured at the Rydułtowy coal mine in Silesia, after a powerful tremor at 1,200 metres below the surface, just before midnight on Tuesday. Most of the injured were able to get out of the mine by themselves, one had to be carried out on a stretcher.
