Dangerous accident involving two cars in Gdańsk. The vehicles at first collided and then one of them flipped over. The female driver who sustained numerous injuries was taken to a hospital. The driver of the second car was detained by the police because, as it later turned out, he was under the influence of alcohol.
The accident took place on Wednesday morning in Gdańsk, on the Major Henryk Sucharski Freeway, before the entrance to the tunnel under Martwa Wisła.
Risky manouvre and rollover
The woman driving a nissan decided to switch onto the left lane. She noticed, however, that a kia was approaching fast behind her. She decided to return quickly onto the right lane. The driver of the kia did exactly the same.
The cars collided on the right lane. The vehicle driven by the woman flipped over.
As it turned out, the man, a 37-year-old resident of Gdańsk, had over and estimated 1.0 permille of blood alcohol content in his breath. He was detained by the police.
The woman sustained numerous injuries and was taken to a hospital. There's no threat to her life.
For the next two hours after the accident there were traffic problems at the scene.
