By the decision of Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki, Russian tall ship STS Sedov has been denied entry on Polish territorial waters, the spokesperson for the Polish Foreign Ministry, Ewa Suwara informed on Friday.
"In our view, allowing the ship onto Polish territorial waters would stand against the policy of respect towards territorial intergrity of Ukraine and of non-recognition of the Crimea annexation," said the spokesperson.
According to the TASS agency report from Thursday, the training vessel "Sedov" has not been allowed onto Estonian territorial waters and set sail for the port in Gdynia, northern Poland.
The ship was scheduled to drop anchor between 13 and 14 April, a few days before the president of Estonia Kersti Kaljulaid's visit to Moscow.
In response, the Russian Embassy in Tallinn called the decision of Estonian authorities an "unfriendly act".
