A girl under 15 gave birth during a school trip in southern Poland. Both the mother and the newborn were taken to a hospital. The father is also a teenager.

According to the police, the girl was on a school trip to southern Poland. On Wednesday (May 15) evening, she felt bad and went to a hotel bathroom where she gave birth to a child.

The teachers called an ambulance and the police.

The girl and her baby were taken to a hospital. The police said in a statement a criminal procedure would launched for suspected sexual intercourse with a minor under the age of 15.

According to the Polish criminal code, any adult who has sexual intercourse with a minor under the age of 15 is liable to imprisonment from 2 to 12 years.

The age of majority in Poland is 18 years old. Therefore, the father of the baby, being under 17, will face a juvenile court.
