Poland's ruling party, eurosceptic Law and Justice (PiS) have secured most votes in the European elections, according to late poll conducted by IPSOS for TVN24. Jarosław Kaczyński's party secured 43,1 percent of votes, whereas the liberal European Coalition came right behind with 38,4 percent.
Shortly after midnight Ipsos pollster published late poll which was slightly different than exit polls from 9 pm on Sunday. However, the change didn't affect the number of seats that each of the parties shared between each other.
Law and Justice's result in the late poll (43,1 percent) is higher than that from exit poll (42,4 percent).
European Coalition's result is slightly lower in the late poll (38,4 percent) than in the exit poll (39,1 percent).
Four parties take 52 seats
The two parties will therefore take the vast majority of the 52 seats in the European Parliament. Law and Justice is set to take 24 seats, whereas the European Coalition 22.
Apart from these two formations, two other will send their representatives to Europarliament: Robert Biedroń's Wiosna (Spring) party won 3 seats (6,7 percent of votes vs 6,6 from exit poll) and the Confederation Korwin Braun Liroy Nationalists also won 3 places (6,2 percent compared to 6,1 from exit poll).
Below the minimum 5-percent threshold
Kukiz '15 movement took 3,8 percent of votes, compared to 4,1 from exit polls.
Left Together took 1,4 percent of votes, compared to 1,3 from exit polls.
All the other committees combined took 0,4 percent of votes - same as in exit polls.
According to the late polls by IPSOS pollster, the nationwide turnout was 43,4 percent, compared to even 43 percent from the exit polls.
The official results are expected on Monday evening or on Tuesday.
