If Donald Tusk's cabinet is formed, we will be a firm and tough, but also substantive, opposition - Poland's Justice Minister Zbigniew Ziobro told a press conference on Tuesday (Oct. 24). He also called the coalition formed by opposition parties a "coalition of treason".
The Minister of Justice Zbigniew Ziobro organized a press conference on Tuesday at which he thanked his voters for support in the recent parliamentary election.
"Regardless of the final outcome of these elections, I'd like to say we will be consistently fighting for your affairs, your interest, and for Poland - because Poland today is in danger. It's in danger of the coalition of treason, which calls itself democratic coalition," he said.
Ziobro: we will be a tough opposition
"We will be a firm and tough, but also substantive, opposition. We shall support what's good for Poland, but we shall consistently demand that which is in the interest of Poland be carried out," the minister added.
Ziobro also noted that it would happen "if the fate of the Polish democracy takes such a turn, if this government planned by Donald Tusk actually and finally appointed and finds a majority in the parliament".
"We won't compromise your support, we will keep on carrying out everything that we were saying during the election. Polish interest, Polish affairs, are in danger in this turbulent world of wars and conflicts surrounding us. These times call for a strong force in the parliament that will have the courage to protect what is crucial for the Poles today. We will certainly be doing that," the justice minister stressed.
