Evacuation of civilians from Afghanistan, in which Poland is also involved, is in progress. Deputy Foreign Minister Marcin Przydacz said on Thursday that the last two Polish citizens left Kabul in the afternoon.
The first aircraft with evacuees from Afghanistan landed in Warsaw on Wednesday evening, followed by another one Thursday morning. "Dozens are already safe in Poland," said Deputy Foreign Minister Marcin Przydacz.
"Those are people who for various reasons wanted to leave Afghanistan. Some of have actively supported democratic Afghanistan in cooperation with Poland. Naturally, we want to help them first. There are many requests, while the circumstances are extremely difficult," he said.

Marcin Przydacz also said that "the last two Polish citizens have left Kabul heading for Uzbekistan" on Thursday afternoon.
"We hope they will return safely to Poland. At this point, there are no Polish citizens (in Afghanistan) that we know of. That doesn't mean, however, that within minutes, hours or days, we won't receive such information," he said.
"At this point, all Poles we had contact with have left Afghanistan," the minister reiterated.
