"The United Right is a great value and, in my opinion, it would be worth to continue this project until the end of term, but not at all cost," said Deputy Prime Minister Jarosław Gowin. Later on Friday, the leader of a junior coalition partner, the Accord party, informed that he appointed Anna Kornecka, former deputy development minister freshly dismissed by Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki, as his plenipotentiary for investments and the Green Deal.
Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki decided to dismiss Anna Kornecka from the function of undersecretary of state in the Ministry of Economic Development, Labour and Technology, government spokesperson Piotr Mueller announced on Wednesday. Earlier on he commented on Kornecka's criticism of tax reform solutions proposed by the ruling party in the Polish Deal package.
According to Kornecka, Accord "sets very clear boundaries and opposes such a sharp tax increase".
Anna Kornecka reacted to her dismissal on Twitter: "I entered the government with one goal: to protect Polish entrepreneurs. There's no consent to drastic increase in taxes and payments for them. I don't regret being dismissed for it. I will continue to work for the benefit of those thanks to whom Poland is growing - to work like the whole Accord does.
Gowin: it would be worth to continue the United Right project
Deputy Prime Minister and the Minister of Economic Development, Labour and Technology Jarosław Gowin, leader of a junior coalition partner Accord party, was asked by reporters on Thursday whether the ruling coalition would be able to last in that situation. "We shall discuss what lies ahead for Accord as part of the United Right on Saturday. Party leaders will make a decision," he said.
He also said that "the United Right is a great value and, in my opinion, it would be worth to continue this project until the end of term, but not at all cost". "Certainly not at the cost of a radical increase in taxes, not only for entrepreneurs, but for the middle class as a whole," Gowin added.
Gowin announces Kornecka's new job

Terlecki: "Where would he go? To PSL? Gowin: no comment
Gowin was also asked about his comment on the words by Deputy Speaker of the Sejm Ryszard Terlecki (who is also the chief of PiS parliamentary group), who had said he did not expect Gowin to leave the coalition. "Where would he go? To PSL (Polish People's Party)?" - Terlecki had asked.
"Speaker Terlecki expresses various opinions which I won't comment on," deputy PM said.
