"Poland calls upon all sides in Israel & Palestine to put an end to violence and prevent further loss of life" - the Ministry of Foreign Affairs said in a tweet on Wednesday.
Poland's Ministry of Foreign Affairs issued a statement on its website on Tuesday evening, condemning the escalation of violence in the West Bank and the Gaza Strip.
"Poland is deeply concerned about the escalation of violence in East Jerusalem. We urge all sides to take immediate actions aimed at de-escalating the current situation and to refrain from confrontational rhetoric. We also condemn other acts of violence which have occurred over the past days, including around the Gaza Strip and in the West Bank" - the statement reads.
Poland's MFA was also concerned "by the risk of eviction of several Palestinian families in the Sheikh Jarrah district". "We firmly oppose any unilateral actions which exacerbate the current tensions and undermine the prospect of a peaceful resolution of the Israeli-Palestinian conflict".
"We call upon both sides to resume a constructive dialogue aimed at resolving the conflict on the basis of the two-state solution, in line with the internationally agreed parameters" - Polish authorities stressed.
On Wednesday, the MFA reiterated its concerns and appeals in a tweet. "Poland calls upon all sides in Israel & Palestine to put an end to violence and prevent further loss of life. We condemn all the actions that led to many civilian casualties. Crisis must be resolved through dialogue, with respect for human rights" - we read in the tweet.
Israel carried out hundreds of air strikes in Gaza on Wednesday and Palestinian militants fired multiple rocket barrages at Tel Aviv and the southern city of Beersheba in the region's most intense hostilities in years.
At least 43 people have been killed in Gaza since violence escalated on Monday, according to the enclave's health ministry. Six people have been killed in Israel, medical officials said.
In Gaza, a multi-story residential building collapsed after Israel warned its occupants in advance to evacuate, and another was heavily damaged, after they were hit in the air strikes.
Israel said its warplanes had targeted and killed several of the Islamist group Hamas's intelligence leaders early on Wednesday. Other strikes hit what the military said were rocket launch sites, Hamas offices and the homes of Hamas leaders.
The heaviest offensive between Israel and Hamas since a 2014 war in the Hamas-ruled enclave has increased international concern that the situation could spiral out of control.
Many Israelis also spent a sleepless night, with sirens sounding at 3 a.m. in Tel Aviv, heralding several waves of rocket strikes in Israel's heartland.
U.N. Middle East peace envoy Tor Wennesland said the United Nations was working with all sides to restore calm. Egypt made calls overnight to Palestinian leaders to urge restraint, Egyptian security sources said.

An Israeli was killed on Wednesday by an anti-tank missile fired from Gaza at a vehicle near the border, Israel's national ambulance service said. Two people were killed by a rocket that hit their car in Lod, near Tel Aviv.
Lod and other mixed Arab-Jewish towns have been gripped by demonstrations over the Gaza violence and tensions in Jerusalem.
In Gaza, 11 people were killed in Israeli strikes on Wednesday, the health ministry said.
