Health Ministry informed on Friday about 30,546 newly confirmed coronavirus cases and 497 deaths of COVID patients. Since the start of the pandemic, Poland has reported 2,387,511 infection cases and 54,165 fatalities.
The worst-hit southern region of Silesia reported a total of 4,713 infections.
Within the last 24 hours over 101,000 coronavirus tests were performed, the ministry said.
On Thursday (April 1), a record daily number of coronavirus infections - 35,251 - was confirmed.
The ministry also said on Friday that 497 COVID patients have died within the last 24 hours.
The highest number of daily fatalities so far - 674 - was reported on November 25, 2020.
Since the start of the pandemic in Poland (March 4, 2020), the country has confirmed 2,387,511 infection cases and COVID-related 54,165 deaths.
According to the official data, a record 31,811 COVID patients have been hospitalised. The number of hospitalised patients have been constantly rising since February 19.
The number of beds dedicated to COVID patients stood at 41,272 on Friday and has also been the highest figure noted so far.
Another record-high figures are that of patients hooked to ventilators - 3,157, and of the ventilators dedicated to COVID patients - 4,157.
