The Ministry of Health informed on Tuesday (July 28) about 502 newly confirmed coronavirus infection cases and the death of 6 people. Since the start of the pandemic, Poland has reported 43,904 infections and 1682 deaths so far.
The 502 new coronavirus cases from Tuesday is more than the previous day when 337 cases were reported.
The ministry also said that 6 people, aged between 38 and 83, died on Tuesday. All had been suffering from co-occurring medical conditions.
Since the start of the pandemic, Poland has reported a total of 43,904 cases of SARS-CoV-2 infection, of which 1682 turned out to be fatal.
Within the last 7 days, from Tuesday until Monday, the ministry informed about a total of 3019 infection cases. On Tuesday, 399 cases were reported, 380 on Wednesday, 418 on Thursday, 458 on Friday, 584 on Saturday, 443 on Sunday, and 337 on Monday.
Earlier on Tuesday, health ministry released its daily "coronavirus report":
- 1655 "COVID-19" beds were being occupied
- 61 ventilators were being in use
- 94,920 people have been placed in quarantine
- 7,245 people have been placed under epidemiological supervision
- 33,403 people have recovered
