The National Electoral Commission (PKW) announced on Monday afternoon the final results of the election to the European Parliament. The ruling Law and Justice party (PiS) secured 45,38 percent of votes, the European Coalition - 38,47 percent and Wiosna (Spring) party - 6,06 percent. The remaining formations scored results below the minimum 5-percent threshold. The turnout amounted to 45,68 percent.
On Sunday, Poles have chosen 52 delegates to the European Parliament. The PKW published the official results on 2.30 pm on Monday.
Law and Justice secured the highest number of votes - 45,38 percent. This translates into 27 seats in the European Parliament.
The second result was secured by the European Coalition - 38,47 percent of votes (22 seats).
Wiosna (Spring) party took the third spot with 6,06 percent of votes (3 seats).
The Confederation Korwin Braun Liroy Nationalists found itself below the minimum 5-percent threshold with 4,55 percent of votes.
Kukiz '15 movement received 3,69 percent of votes, while Left Together 1,24 percent.
The remaining committees scored less than 1 percent each.
The turnout amounted to 45,68 percent.
