Polish minister of humanitarian aid, Beata Kempa and the chief of the U.S. Agency of International Development (USAID), Mark Green signed in Washington on Monday an agreement of cooperation in the field of humanitarian aid for the Middle East.
The aid from within the framework of the new agreement with the USAID is meant to be sent to the victims of conflicts in Iraq and Syria.
As minister Kempa told the journalists, the agreement defining the general rules of cooperation in the field of humanitarian aid between Poland and the USAID is the first ever pact if this kind between this American agency and a foreign government.
The USAID is the largest agency of this sort in the world, with a yearly budget amounting to 27 billion dollars.
