Opinion polls show the ruling Law and Justice (PiS) party is set to win the election despite criticism that it has weakened democracy through increased control over the judiciary and media.
Tokarczuk made the comment after being asked by a journalist whether she would dedicate her prize to something or someone, while giving a news conference in the western German city of Bielefeld.
She described Sunday's election as "very important" and that it could change the future of the country.
