Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and U.S. Vice President Mike Pence joined Polish Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki in laying wreaths at Warsaw's Ghetto Heroes Monument on Thursday.
Their appearance at the memorial, which commemorates the Ghetto Uprising during the Second World War, occurred on the sidelines of a U.S.-sponsored conference on Middle Eastern issues in the Polish capital.
The two-day meeting has seen signs of a warming of ties between Israel and a number of its regional neighbours after Netanyahu met with several delegates from Arab countries on Wednesday.
Pence and Netanyahu also visited Warsaw's Jewish Museum, where they signed a guest book and held a bilateral meeting.
Pence is leading a U.S. delegation that also includes Secretary of State Mike Pompeo and White House adviser Jared Kushner - the son-in-law of President Donald Trump - as Washington attempts to build a coalition against what it says is malign behaviour in the region emanating from Iran.
