During her trip to Poland, American actor and activist Natalie Portman visited Greater Poland Pediatrics Center in Poznań. Taking turns with U.S. Ambassador to Poland Mark Brzezinski and his partner, Portman read her own fables to the kids. The profit from sales of "Fables" by Natalie Portman, published in Poland, will be donated to TVN Foundation to support child psychiatry.
American actress Natalie Portman arrived in Poland on Thursday (May 11) and took part in the Impact'23 conference in Poznań. Later that day, she visited Greater Poland Pediatrics Center.
The Oscar laureate and activist, privately a mother of two, met with little patients and read one her fables to them. The book titled "Fables" - translated into Polish by Michał Rusinek (Polish title is "Bajki") - has been published in Poland as part of the Impact initiative and is the only European edition. The whole profit made from sales of the book in Poland will be donated to TVN Foundation to support child psychiatry.
Portman visited the hospital together with U.S. Ambassador to Poland Mark Brzezinski and his life partner Olga Leonowicz. They read the fables to kids in turns.
The meeting was also attended by the Marshal of Greater Poland Voivodeship Marek Woźniak, Poznań Mayor Jacek Jaśkowiak and hospital director Izabela Marciniak.
