Answers to additional questions provided by Poland's candidate for EU Commissioner for Agriculture and Rural Development, Janusz Wojciechowski, did not convince political groups in the EU parliament, who agreed on Monday to schedule another hearing - sources in the European Parliament say.

If the conference of leaders agrees to the proposition of the coordinators and the chief of the agricultural committee (which is seen a formality), the next hearing of Janusz Wojciechowski would take place on Tuesday (September 8) before noon.
It would be the last chance for Wojciechowski to win the approval of MEPs. Otherwise, he may not receive positive recommendation to sit in the European Commission.
No green light
Last week, Wojciechowski did not get approved by the European Parliament's agriculture committee coordinators, which would have led to the end of the procedure.
MEPs requested Wojciechowski to answer additional questions.
