The court ordered to temporarily arrest the detained gynaecologist from Zabrze who is suspected of raping his patients - informed the National Public Prosecutor's Office on Saturday.
As the Polish Press Agency learned, the man was detained by a special order from the Minister of Justice and Prosecutor General, Zbigniew Ziobro.
"When visiting a doctor, each patient expects best care possible, and hopes for a relief from illness. These women also placed their full trust onto this man, hoping they would receive professional health care, not such harm. Taking advantage of the patients' vulnerability is an extraordinarily despicable crime, which in my opinion, deserves absolutely no leniency. Suspicion of rape, as a matter of priciple, should result in a temporary arrest of the accused," Zbigniew Ziobro said on Saturday.
The gynaecologist, Monzer M. has been charged with committing four crimes of forcing his patients' to having sexual relations with him or submitting to other sexual activities.
As the investigation reveals, all of the five victims were the gynaecologist's patients and the crimes were to be committed in office in Zabrze, during medical check-up.
