Reaching the French Open final match is by far the biggest success in Iga Świątek's career. Along with the glory come huge rewards. The 19-year-old from Poland will go far up in the WTA ranking, as well as cash a hefty cheque.

On Thursday, Świątek once again won the match without losing a set, allowing Argentina's Nadia Podoroska to win only 3 games. The semifinal lasted just over an hour.

"I've dreamed about the French Open final. It's an amazing feeling, but it wasn't so easy" - the 19-year-old Polish player told Eurosport.

More is to come

The young tennis star from Raszyn near Warsaw is currently number 54 in the WTA ranking. Her highest place so far was 48 (February 2020). On Monday, she will enter the top 30 for the first time in her career. After reaching the French Open final, she's been listed 24th in a virtual ranking.

A win would likely move her up to the 17th place.

For advancing to the final match of the tournament in Paris, Świątek will receive a check worth over 850,000 euro. In case of winning the French Open, she would secure 1,6 million euro. So far, the Polish player has won 1,1 million euro on tennis courts.
