Drunk driver was going wrong way on A1 highway

The incident took place on Saturday (May 7) around 7 p.m. "I was going down the highway from Zabrze when I saw an older lady driving the wrong way. She way going fast. Other drivers were honking and flashing their headlights, but the lady seemed completely unbothered. A car was overtaking me in that moment and was forced to escape to avoid the oncoming vehicle," said Bartosz, the man who has sent the footage to our Kontakt24 platform.

The man notified the police.

Anna Oczkiewicz of Bytom City Police told tvn24.pl that a 64-year-old woman was detained. "The woman was inebriated. She had a blood alcohol content of more than 0.25%," the officer said.

The case of the drunk driver has been referred to a court.
