Daria Sulgostowska has been appointed as the new public relations manager for Iga Świątek, replacing Paula Wolecka, the team of the world No. 2 tennis player announced on Tuesday.
Wolecka had worked with Świątek for nearly four years, overseeing global communications, media relations, and social initiatives for the five-time Grand Slam champion.
"Collaborating with Iga over these nearly four years has been an unforgettable journey for someone passionate about sports and an entirely unique professional challenge. I will especially cherish the charity and social projects, which brought positive change to the world through our work together," Wolecka stated in a press release.
"I wish Iga and the entire team success in their further growth," she added.
Daria Sulgostowska is a communication expert with extensive experience, including roles in the sports industry. She is also a board member of the Polish Tennis Association, responsible for international cooperation.
"Joining Iga Świątek's team - a person who sets standards in both sports and social impact - is an incredible honor. As someone passionate about sports, particularly tennis, and professionally engaged in communications, I deeply respect and admire the image-building work done by the team so far," Sulgostowska said.
"Becoming part of it is a great mark of trust, for which I am very grateful. I am thrilled to take on this new challenge, aiming to further develop Iga's extraordinary personal brand and promote the values she represents," the new PR manager stressed.
Świątek’s management team retains Alina Sikora, who manages relations with business partners. Jules Mercier remains responsible for international partnerships and support during the WTA Tour.
