A young female roe deer got stuck between elements of a fence in Nowa Sól (Lubuskie province). Police officers saved the animal from distress and took it back to the forest in their car.

An unusual police intervention took place in Nowa Sól (Lubuskie province). "On Saturday around 6 p.m. our officers were notified about a little roe deer roaming the city streets. According to worried teenagers who called, the animal was very scared and disoriented" - said Justyna Sęczkowska from Nowa Sól Police.

A patrol was dispatched to the scene. The officers saw the animal stuck between metal bars of a fence. It was making horrifying noise as it was very scared.

"The roe deer did not have any visible wounds, but it was clear that human presence was very stressful to it. Police officers immediately rushed to help. They released the animal, took care of it and placed inside their car" - Sęczkowska added.

The officer then drove the roe deer to the forest and released it. They published a video of their intervention at the local police website.
