16-year-old Kuba who was murdered in one of the schools in Warsaw's Wawer district two weeks ago had been abducted and beaten a month prior to the tragedy in school, according to the information gathered by tvnwarszawa.pl portal. The prosecutor's office informed that a 29-year-old man has been charged in connection to the beating. He has been taken under police supervision.
Two weeks ago in the primary school number 195, 16-year-old Kuba was stabbed to death by another student. Emil, an 8th grader, has been detained.
Last week, tvnwarszawa.pl informed that earlier on Kuba had been reported a victim in a case run by the Praga district prosecutor's office. The notification was filed in a month before the killing. The boy is said to had been beaten for not paying back his debt. According to our information, he was abducted before being beaten.
"Three days after after the incident a man born in 1990 was detained. He was known both by the victim and his caretakers. The 29-year-old has been charged," spokesperson for the Praga district prosecutor's office, Marcin Saduś confirmed. He did not reveal what charges exactly have been pressed but said that they pertain to an offence "against freedom".
The detained has been taken under police supervision. Marcin Saduś reassured that there was no need to grant special protection to Kuba.
He also stressed that the investigation into the abduction and beating has absolutely no connection with Emil B. who has been detained in relation to the murder of Kuba.
Murder at school
Emil B. has been placed in a facility for juvenile offenders. A special task group set up in the Warsaw Police Headquarters is investigating the case.
The funeral of the murdered teenager has taken place last Thursday at the Muslim Tatar Cemetery in Warsaw.
Family court passed the murder case over to the prosecutor but the decision is not yet binding, as Emil's attorney filed against the handing over of the case.
On Tuesday the court received a complaint against the case.
If the motion if rejected, court experts will examine the sanity of the 15-year-old suspected of murder. Next, the prosecutor will decide if the boy can stand trial as an adult.
Four people detained
Four other underaged people have been detained in connection to the case. The court handed down a ruling by which two of them were to be placed in a juvenile facility. The said two are both under 15 and are not students of the school where the tragedy happened.
Last Thursday the police informed about detaining the other two teenagers, a 15-year-old girl and a 14-year-old boy.
