Róża Kozakowska has won silver in shot put at Tokyo Paralympic Games. This is her second medal at the tournament - last week she won gold in club throw. Earlier on Wedensday, table tennis duo playing in wheelchairs, Tomasz Jakimczuk and Rafał Czuper won bronze, while swimmer Oliwia Jabłońska also won a bronze medal in 400m freestyle.
Everything seemed to suggest there could be no other outcome than a gold medal for Kozakowska.
She opened the final in a brilliant fashion by launching a 7.10-metre throw - a world record breaker in her first attempt!
The problem was, however, the Pole had an excellent competitor that day.
Ukrainian Anastasia Moskalenko responded with an even better shot - 7.61 metres, which has become a new world record.
Kozakowska improved a bit in the fourth attempt with a 7.37 m throw, but it was not enough to beat the excellent Ukrainian.
The Polish athlete has won Olympic silver.
This was her second medal in Tokyo - last week she had won gold in club throw.
