Three people injured after escalator sped up at a station in central Warsaw

There was a terrifying accident at Warsaw Centrum Metro Station, as an escalator suddenly sped up causing a pile-up of people at the bottom. Fortunately the safety mechanism switched on and greater tragedy was averted. However, three people were taken to the hospital and others had minor injuries.
