A team of National Judiciary Council (KRS) members interviewing candidates for the Supreme Court's Disciplinary Chamber recommended 12 names on Thursday. About 5pm, the team members finished a presentation of the recommended candidates during a plenary session of the KRS.
The final decision regarding the candidates for the Supreme Court, that later on will be sent to the President to accept, must be taken by the whole KRS. The session devoted to selecting the candidates is scheduled to end on Tuesday.
The candidates recommended for the Disciplinary Chamber are: prosecutor Małgorzata Bednarek, prosecutor Jarosław Duś, Asst Prof. Jan Majchrowski, judge Piotr Niedzielak, solicitor Tomasz Przesławski, prosecutor Adam Roch, solicitor Adam Tomczyński, solicitor Małgorzata Ułaszonek-Kubacka, prosecutor Ryszard Witkowski, prosecutor Jacek Wygoda, judge Konrad Wytrykowski, prosecutor Paweł Zubert.
From Monday to Wednesday, four teams of the National Council of the Judiciary interviewed the candidates for the Supreme Court.
The Chairman of the National Council of the Judiciary (KRS), Leszek Mazur has scheduled the Council's session for 23, 25, 27 and 28 of August - the KRS informed in a statement on Wednesday. Judiciary Council's teams completed on Wednesday the hearings of candidates for the Supreme Court.
The first part of the KRS session aimed at selecting the Supreme Court judges, that commenced on Thursday, is devoted to filling the seats in the Disciplinary Chamber and Criminal Chamber.
The session will consist of two parts. The first will be held on Thursday and Friday and judges for the Supreme Court's Disciplinary Chamber and Criminal Chamber will be selected.
In the beginning of next week, on Monday and Tuesday, the National Council of the Judiciary will convene to fill the seats in the other two chambers: Extraordinary Supervision and Civic, said Leszek Mazur.
