LOT Polish Airlines trade union members have suspended their strike until 10:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Further talks between the board and the protesters are scheduled for Tuesday, 10:00 a.m., the head of Civilian Pilots Trade Union, Adam Rzeszot informed on Monday.
After nearly five hours of talks, interrupted several times, Mr Rzeszot read out a statement by Inter-Union Strike Committee in PLL LOT. He read it out in carrier's board members presence.
"Limiting the industrial action means that the flight personnel on strike will operate the European flights to and from Warsaw, until 10:30 p.m. Tomorrow at 10 a.m. we're starting another round of negotiations regarding, among other things, financial conditions," said Rzeszot.
The deputy chief of the Cabin and Flights Personnel Trade Union, Agnieszka Szelągowska explained that suspension of strike will translate into more crews operating the flights on Tuesday. "These will be only short flights, across Europe. We want the people who will work tomorrow to be able to return home for the night," she said.
As she added, no more talks will be held on Monday.
