Small tool shed was blown off when the owner was inside

One of the residents of the city of Zgierz in central Poland has learned in a hard way just how strong the wind was on Wednesday. His little tin tool shed was blown off while he was inside. Luckily, no one was hurt in the incident. The video was sent to us via Kontakt 24 platform.

Sebastian from Zgierz (Łódź province) has sent us a video showing the tool shed being blown off by strong gust of wind. The shed was thrusted in the air and landed behind the fence next to his neighbours' house.

"I was inside standing on the frame connector. The house was blown off despite that. Luckily, no one was in the backyard," Sebastian said. He added that only the tool shed was damaged. "The neighbours' house was left untouched," he said.

On Wednesday, severe storms passed over Poland, often accompanied by rain and strong wind.

"One person died, two got injured. The wind uprooted trees, tore off branches and roofs. The fire service had to intervene over 2,700 times on Wednesday," Poland's State Fire Service spokesperson Krzysztof Batorski told TVN24.
