President Duda appointed 10 judges to the Supreme Court's Disciplinary Chamber, president's chancellery informed on Thursday. Newly appointed judges took an oath before the president.
Judges appointed to the Supreme Court's Disciplinary Chamber are: prosecutor Małgorzata Bednarek from the State Prosecutor's Office, research associate Jan Majchrowski, Chairman of the Białystok Court of Appeals Piotr Niedzielak, solicitor Tomasz Przesławski, prosecutor Adam Roch from Katowice Regional Prosecutor's Office, solicitor Adam Tomczyński, prosecutor Ryszard Witkowski from State Prosecutor's Office, prosecutor Jacek Wygoda from State Prosecutor's Office, Chairman of Wrocław Court of Appeals Konrad Wytrykowski oraz prosecutor Paweł Zubert from Katowice Regional Prosecutor's Office.
In the end of June, Monitor Polski (Poland's official gazette) released President Duda's announcement regarding free vacancies in the Supreme Court, 44 seats in total. Some 200 candidates submitted their applications, all of which were processed by the National Council of the Judiciary (KRS), which later on selected the judges.
The final list of candidates for the Supreme Court's Disciplinary Chamber, recommended by the KRS was sent over to President Duda on Monday.
