Officers from Poznań City Guard have rescued a fox who got stuck in a factory building in Starołęka district. The animal was hanging down stuck between a pipe and the wall. After being rescued, the fox was released into city's green areas.
Poznań Ekopatrol officers received an unusual call on Monday from Stomil factory at Starołęcka street. In one of the rooms, a fox got stuck between a pipe and the wall in the upper corner and could not come down on its own.
"Officers who arrived at the scene to help the fox safely go down used special equipment," said Anna Nowaczyk from Poznań City Guard. The fox was rescued. It was all fine. "That's why it was released into the green areas of Starołęka," Nowaczyk added.
The city guards recapped the mission with the following words: "Not such a clever fox".
Poznań City Guard's Ekopatrol is a group of a dozen or so officers responsible for everything connected with ecology, including helping animals. They intervene in incidents involving, among others, bats, birds, cats, hedgehogs and foxes. They also have a snake-catching equipment at their disposal.
