Social sentiment in August remained unchanged but the percentage of Poles declaring contentment with their living standards was the highest in history, the CBOS pollster reported on Wednesday.
In its report, CBOS noted that 64 percent of Poles in August declared that they and their families lived on a satisfying level, 4 percentage points up on July and the highest contentment level in the history of such surveys.
Thirty-two percent said their living standards were average and neither good nor bad (3 points down on July), with only 4 percent declaring poor living standards.
Sixty-one percent said they were content with their material standing (up 3 points), 32 percent that their material status was average (down 3 points), 7 percent described their material situation as bad.
Thirty-six percent criticised the current situation in Poland (up 2 points), 48 percent said it was good (unchanged), 16 percent could not say. Forty-nine percent voiced contentment with the country's economy (up 2 points) while 14 percent criticised the economic situation (up 4 points).
Seventy-seven percent said they did not fear unemployment, 22 percent said otherwise (unchanged).
