The police have detained a 33-year-old inebriated woman who after calling an ambulance for her partner, had threatened to kill the crew with a gun - the spokesman for Mokotów district police, Staff Aspirant Robert Koniuszy, said on Tuesday.
The incident took place on Wednesday, September 25. "Around 8.30 pm, the rescuers were called to one of neighbourhoods in Mokotów district. According to the report, an unconscious was said to have been in the flat," the police officer said.
At the location, the crew was "greeted" by the woman with verbal abuse. Despite that they checked the man's condition and concluded that he did not require their attention, but was nevertheless "in a state of alcohol intoxication".
"When they asked the woman for her partner's ID, she took real-looking pistol from the closet and started screaming that she was going to kill them all," Koniuszy said. "After attempts to convince her to put the gun away had failed, one of the rescuers incapacitated the aggresive woman and took the pistol from her," he added.
After the police had arrived, the officers detained the 33-year-old and secured the gun - it turned out it was a pneumatic pistol for which no license is required. A test showed that the woman had over .20% of alcohol content in her breath.
"After she had sobered up, the woman said that she did not threaten the rescuers with the gun, nor she tried to kill them, but only wanted to boast about the pistol," Robert Koniuszy said.
For life threats, the woman may face up to two years in prison.
