"Dear American friends, a happy 4th of July to you all. The legacy of freedom and independence closely unites our nations," Poland's Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki said on Twitter on Tuesday, July 4th, marking the American Independence Day.
Each year, on the 4th of July, the United States celebrates Independence Day.
On July 4, 1776, the Second Continental Congress unanimously adopted the Declaration of Independence, announcing the colonies’ separation from Great Britain.
The Constitution provides the legal and governmental framework for the United States. However, the Declaration, with its eloquent assertion "all Men are created equal," is equally beloved by the American people.
"Dear American friends, a happy 4th of July to you all. The legacy of freedom and independence closely unites our nations," Poland's Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki said on Twitter.
"The Polish-American strategic partnership is the light of a better and safer future," he added.
"On the American Independence Day, we're wishing our friends and close allies from the USA a day full of celebrations!" - Poland's Ministry of Foreign Affairs said on Twitter. "For our Polish-American friendship and alliance! We hope you have a joyful 4th of July!"
"Happy 4th of July to all American friends back in the USA and those serving in Poland, especially in the Camp Kościuszko, named after the Polish-American hero who fought for the independence of our both Nations," Poland's Defence Minister said in a tweet.
The U.S. Ambassador to Poland Mark Brzezinski also marked the occasion with a tweet.
"Happy 4th of July! Today in the USA we proudly and joyfully celebrate Independence Day," he wrote.
"This is a special day which reminds us of the crucial values - democracy, freedom and equality, but it is also a day of gratitude to those thanks to whom we can enjoy independence. Happy Birthday, America!" - the ambassador added and attached an occasional video.
On June 22, ambassador Brzezinski spoke at Warsaw Independence Day Event.
"Poland is our trusted partner. We are linked by our history, by our shared responsibility for the future, and by our shared values. It’s these values and our achievements that we celebrate today," he said at the time.
"Happy 4th of July! We love you Poland! And today, more than ever, we celebrate the American-Polish special friendship!"
Earlier that day, Mark Brzezinski also spoke with TVN24 reporter Michał Sznajder. You can watch the brief interview below.
