President Andrzej Duda, on his way with official visit to Azerbeijan, has flown for the first in Boeing 737-800 NG Józef Piłsudski. The aircraft is fitted to perform flights with Poland's most important figures on board. "Nice, neat, cool. We shall see what the flight feels like," said Andrzej Duda on board of the plane.
Around 5 pm on Thursday, President Andrzej Duda headed off to Azerbeijan.
For the first time, he travelled on board of Boeing 737-800 NG Józef Piłsudski. Painted in red and white, the machine is capable of performing the HEAD status flights, that is with most important people in the country on board - including the president, prime minister, marshals of the Sejm (Marek Kuchciński was the first one to test the plane) and the Senate.
The plane was flown to Poland already in November 2018, however, it's been put to use only recently because of the requirement stating that the first pilot to fly the HEAD status flight must have at least 250 hours flown in the given machine.
"Nice, neat, cool. We shall see what the flight feels like," Andrzej Duda said inside the plane.
The president will stay in Azerbeijan from Thursday to Friday. He will meet with his Azerbeijani counterpart Ilham Aliyev.
During the visit, the Polish and Azerbaijani presidents will open an economic forum designed for small and medium-sized companies during which contracts prepared by the Polish Investment and Trade Agency (PAIH) as well as Polish and Azerbaijani companies will be signed.
