When he was a child, Arkadiusz Sokół from southern Poland dreamed of joining the police. Now a district police officer in the town of Grodków close to the Czech border, he shows his passion for his profession by collecting model police vehicles.
The collection now numbers more than 500 models of cars, vans and helicopters - mostly from Poland but also from every continent, he said.
His collection began when his wife gave him a model of Poland's communist-era Fiat 125p when he started his job in Grodków.
However the model "looked lonely" by itself on a shelf and sparked his decision to find more models to keep it company, Sokół said.
As the collection grew, Sokół began transforming models of civilian cars into police vehicles by himself.
He strips down and re-builds the models, using specially-printed stickers to complete each vehicle's look.
He adds his hand-made models to his collection or makes them for friends and fellow model car enthusiasts, who say they do not have the skills to make their own.
But Sokół says making models requires "a lot of patience, some self-doubt and a lot of free time".
